Ch-Ch-Ch-CHANGES! Pregnancy Changes Everything

If you stop to think about it, pregnancy really is incredible. The fact that the human body can grow another person inside it is just crazy. What’s also crazy is the way pregnancy changes your body.

Kristen Bell recently told People.com that her pregnancy with daughter, Lincoln, changed her voice and made it deeper. She had been recording the voice of Anna, a character in the upcoming movie “Frozen,” and she spoke about her new, huskier voice, saying “The pregnancy did change my voice. It made it deeper. There were more womanly tones when I did one recording while I was extremely pregnant. After I had the baby, I had to go back and re-record those lines so they matched. There was something different about my voice. There was something more ‘Mommy’ about my voice and we had to fix it. I certainly didn’t intend that, and when you heard it, you couldn’t really place why it was different but it was. It was one of those hormonal things that happen, I guess.”

Of course we all know the additional pregnancy hormones make your belly and boobs bigger but they can also make your feet bigger, your hair thicker, your nose wider, your skin break out – it’s a veritable baby-on-board free-for-all! And it’s all pretty amazing if you think about what a delicate balance creating a new life is. But I guess all the changes – welcome or not — are worth it!
