Holiday Fashion, Holiday Photos—What to Wear

Styles for the Whole Family

If you’re anything like me, holiday fashion may not be front and foremost on your mind, certainly not for yourself, but if you’re going to be taking a lot of photos over the holidays, and getting in some photos yourself, you’ll want to think about what you and the whole family are going to wear!

And while I am no fashionista, my clients tell me that I NAIL the outfit look-and-feel boards I create for them, so I’ve created three “look and feel” Pinterest boards for you and your family that are festive and fun without requiring that you all dress up as matching elves!

Perfect for family photos under the tree, at grandma’s or out on the town, these boards are not literal suggestions or item recommendations, but inspiration to be interpreted to match your lifestyle.

1) Cozy and warm

Jeans, knits, hats, scarves and hot mugs of cocoa by the roaring fire. Look for knitted textures and accessories in natural hues or with pops of color.

Cowl scarves and hoods are great for framing the face in photos.

2) Funky and spirited

More whimsical, colorful and like playing dress-up—showcase the personalities in your family and have some fun with it!

3) Chic and sophisticated

Jackets, button down shirts, tailored skirts… yes, a little preppy, but with character!
