We all feel it. Parent stress! Sometimes it consumes me. I wonder how I’ll manage my everyday life. You’ve probably wondered too, especially if you just added a new baby to the puzzle.

Don’t fret. You can do this! I’ve found that with just a little organization, I can turn “I can’t” into “I totally can!”

Here’s how.

Create two lists. One is a “to-do-today” list. It’ll contain all your priorities that HAVE TO be done today without fail. Put everything on it that is worthy of completion today.

Then create another list,“To-do”: It’ll contain items that you want to get done but may need help or some time away from the kids. I try and ask my spouse or a friend to help out with these items.

The point is to not overwhelm yourself. Don’t try to do too much. As always, your baby is your top priority. Just remind yourself over and over: So what if the house is a little messy and the dishes aren’t done?

Ask for help. Work together to get things done. Don’t do things that don’t have to be done now. But most of all, don’t let the stress consume you.
