Recalls Week of 7/30: VAUDE child carriers, Green Toys Mini Vehicles cars and sets
VAUDE Kenta and Kenta Plus backpack-style child carriers
The carriers were available in red, black and brown, and were sold at outdoor/camping and climbing stores nationwide from January 2010 through May 2012. For more information and product images, click here.
The carrier’s side strap seam can unravel, causing the strap to separate and posing a fall hazard to the child in the carrier. Consumers should immediately return the product to an authorized VAUDE retailer for a replacement. To find a retailer and for additional questions/concerns, contact the importer (Liberty Mountain) at 1-800-366-2666, www.libertymountain.com, or www.vaude.com.
Green Toys Mini Vehicle plastic cars and car sets
The recall involves 7 different varieties:Â the Mini Vehicle Set, Mini Ambulance, Mini Vehicle Assortment, Mini Red Fastback, Mini Police Car, Mini Taxi, and Mini Fastback Set. The cars and sets were sold at various mass and independent retailers nationwide and online from April to June 2012. For specific model numbers and product images, click here.
While there have been no reports of injuries, the toy cars’ wheels and hubcaps may detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. Consumers should immediately take the product(s) away from children and contact Green Toys, Inc. (at 1-888-973-3421 or www.greentoys.com) to receive a full refund.
